’life like’ asks the question, is life living you or are you the one in the driver’s seat? How can we reclaim authorship of our lives in a world which demands an ever increasing amount of productivity within an ever reducing amount of time.

What does a deliberate moment feel like? Is there a rhythm, a cadence which helps us stay “home” within ourselves. On the flip side…what does it feel like when we get lost in the fray?

Through movement and film the two artists, Anila Mazhari and Jessica van Rüschen, play with the idea of self direction and paint a picture of Self as an indefinable mix of authenticity and adaptation.

As we grapple with what must be done and what wants to be done, is play the antidote to obligation?
